Hey, Look Over Here
I looked up at the empty sky all by myself
It would be great, if I could be able to live on
Without interacting with anyone
I knew that I’d become a hurtful presence
Even then, back then
I fixed my eyes upon you
With all of my heart
Even though I’ve grown up
And am now living in a city far away
If I returned to walk these streets
I’ll be imagining you here
Just like that day
Hey, look over here
After countless years
I still remember your smile
I never told you that I liked you
But my love will never fade away
The insufficient words and clumsy lies
Make up the days that we spent together
My first love
My one and only first love
Was a blue the colour of the sky
“I can’t put reasons to like you into words,”
You said as you stared off into the distance
While I just didn’t say anything
No matter how many words we exchange
Or how long I lend you my shoulder, or share my kindness
I knew that
The person you’re seeking
Would never be me
Hey, look over here
After countless years
I still remember your smile
I never told you that I liked you
But my love will never fade away
The insufficient words and clumsy lies
All of it is part of those irreplaceable days
As I walk around town
Even now, I still look up at the sky
If I ever met you again, I wonder if I’d tell you about it
That fleeting first love that you never knew about
No matter how many words we exchange, or how long I lend you my shoulder or share my kindness. I knew that person you're seeking would never be me.
It's poetic and.........painful.
